Tractor Trailer Overturns on Eastern Shore; Driver Fell Asleep

On Monday, August 25, 2014 the driver of a tractor trailer fell asleep behind the wheel causing his rig to go off the road and overturn. The accident happened around 5 a.m. on Route 13 in Tasley, Virginia on the Eastern Shore. According to reports, no one was hurt.

It is a relief to learn of a car accident that does not cause any injuries; thankfully, nobody was hurt in this accident. Nevertheless, it is true that many truck accidents result in terrible injuries and even death for many pedestrians, passengers and motorists. As a personal injury lawyer who specializes in truck accidents, I have seen too many instances of tractor-trailer or semi-truck drivers causing wrecks due to fatigue. It is simply irresponsible that the driver of any vehicle would endanger motorists by driving while he was too tired to do so.

Eastern Shore Truck & Car Accidents

Route 13 is a major highway (north & south) on the Eastern Shore. Route 13 is heavily traveled by vacationing motorists (in the summer) and large commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers. The highway connects the largest cities on the Eastern Shore as well as passes through numerous small towns. This heavily traveled highway is notorious for major car and truck accidents caused by negligent drivers.
