Dale City Truck Accident Leads to Injuries, Traffic Delay

On October 16, 2013, a truck accident on I-95 near Dale City left one man injured while also backing up traffic on the interstate for several hours.

According to Virginia State Police, the accident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. when a tractor trailer carrying industrial adhesives struck a crash-cushion truck traveling in the southbound lane of the interstate.

The crash-cushion truck was riding alongside a street sweeper when the accident occurred. As a result of the collision the tractor trailer overturned. The driver of this truck was taken to a local hospital for treatment and has been charged with reckless driving.

It took crews roughly five hours to clean up the accident, having finally cleared the area at 3 p.m.
